SWCorp Kuantan Branch, in collaboration with SWCorp Pahang, conducted a Littering Enforcement Operation at hotspot areas and tourist locations around Jalan Besar, Taman Kerang as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the enforcement of public cleanliness laws and raise public awareness on the importance of maintaining a clean environment.
The operation, which was carried out from 8.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m., aimed to educate members of the public and business premises owners on the importance of complying with solid waste management requirements, as well as the implementation of the Community Service Order (CSO) for littering offences in public places.
In addition to conducting engagement sessions with business premises owners, SWCorp enforcement officers also monitored the cleanliness of the surrounding areas to ensure that public spaces remain clean, organised and conducive for use by the local community and visitors.
The implementation of this operation reflects SWCorp’s continued commitment to strengthening integrated enforcement, public education and advocacy initiatives to foster a culture of cleanliness. It also aimed to enhance public compliance with cleanliness laws in support of a clean, beautiful and prosperous Malaysia.
