Objectives
To safeguard the interests of the Solid Waste and Public Cleansing Management Corporation (SWCorp) from the legal perspective, in accordance with the Federal Constitution, Malaysian laws and applicable legal documents.
Functions
- To provide legal advice to SWCorp management on various matters, including administration, finance, enforcement and regulation.
- To draft or review legal documents and agreements to protect SWCorp’s interests.
- To manage civil litigation cases in court based on existing laws and procedures.
- To review investigation papers prepared by investigating officers before submitting them to the prosecutor’s office for approval of compounding or prosecution.
- To oversee the issuance of authority cards to authorised officers.
