Objectives
- To encourage public participation through education and public programmes/activities related to sustainable solid waste management and 3R practices (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle).
- To instil a culture of environmental cleanliness and 3R practices within the community.
- To collaborate with various target groups to transform the people’s mindset into that of a first-class society in maintaining cleanliness.
- To diversify the publication of high-impact educational materials in producing a society that cultivates cleanliness and 3R practices in daily life.

Education and Public Awareness Section (SPKA)
- To plan, manage and monitor the implementation of 3R practices and environmental cleanliness programmes and activities at national and state levels.
- To organise and conduct talks for various agencies on awareness and education about solid waste and environmental cleanliness management.
- To plan, manage and implement exhibitions for various agencies on education and awareness about solid waste and environmental cleanliness management.
- To coordinate and analyse data related to education and awareness programmes on solid waste and environmental cleanliness management implemented across states.
Programme and External Collaboration Section (SPKL)
- To plan, manage and implement collaborations with various relevant parties on solid waste and environmental cleanliness management.
- To provide consultation services (advice, guidance and consultation) on 3R practices and environmental cleanliness to external agencies.
- To identify and develop marketing mediums for products and services related to 3R practice activities.
Publication, Promotion, and Volunteer Section (SPPS)
- To plan and develop guidelines and modules related to solid waste and environmental cleanliness management for various target groups.
- To design and produce educational and awareness materials on solid waste and environmental cleanliness management.
- To organise seminars/conventions/workshops related to education and awareness of solid waste and environmental cleanliness management.
- To conduct impact studies to evaluate the effectiveness of programmes and activities.
- To plan and manage educational promotions through various media.
- To plan and manage volunteer participation in environmental cleanliness programmes and activities to inculcate 3R practices at national and state levels.
